About Our Council

History of St. Norbert – Knights of Columbus – Council #12107

It was the beginning of 1997, Sir Knight Jata Ghosh (Mater Dei Council) and Sir Knight James Wright (Chester County Assembly) approached Pastor Father Domenic Rossi for approval to initiate a Knights of Columbus Council at St. Norbert Church.  On November 21, 1997 with 31 charter members Council 12107 was instituted.  It was decided our general meetings would be the 2nd Wednesday of each month; our meetings for the 1st year were at Bethany House (on the Abbey grounds) while the rectory was relocated and meeting room completed.

Our primary mission is that of Charity. We support the following charities,

1. Birthright of Coatesville

2. Special Olympics

3. The veterans at the VA hospital in Coatesville

4. St. Joseph's House in Coatesville

5. Others as needed

The funds that are needed to support our local charities are derived from several annual fund raisers,

1. Pasta Dinner

2. Pancake breakfast

3. Trivia night

4. Comedy night

Our Council meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month with the exception of July and August. We meet in the Parish Office at 7:30 PM

Please consider becoming a member of the Knights of Columbus. By becoming a Knight you will be helping those less fortunate.
