A Great Success

Dear brothers all: 

I take this opportunity to thank you all for the great support given the Council this past weekend when you generously gave your time to assist us.  Again Thanks and may the Lord Bless you and your families. 

Now the good news..The collection amounted to $1,322.61, which I handed to our Worthy Financial Secretary who gave me the proper receipt. 

I have a personal request, that is, the donation we give to Pennsylvania Special Olympics I recommend we give it in Memory of Ruth McGuire.  Ruth was the daughter of Peg Maguire a parishioner, daily communicant at the 8:00 am Mass and Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister and Coordinator at the 7:30 Mass on Sundays, and a personal friend.  Ruth adopted a down syndrome child when he was born and weighed two pounds.  He is now 16 yrs old.  She and her husband are devout Catholics, she was buried May 26, 2009.
